The GO2922 is a dual channel optical transmitter module designed to transmit optical serial digital signals as defined in SMPTE 297-2006. The GO2922 supports data rates from 50Mb/s to 3Gb/s and is specifically designed for robust performance in the presence of SDI pathological patterns for SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 344M, SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 424M serial rates. The module is fully compliant with SMPTE 297-2006.
The GO2922 contains two independent 1310nm Fabry-Perot laser transmitters. Each transmitter is designed to provide error-free transmission of signals from 50Mb/s to 3Gb/s with up to 30km of standard SMF when using the GO2920 as the receiver. The GO2922 is hot pluggable with typical power consumption of 670mW using a single power supply of +3.3V.
The GO2922 provides extensive operational status monitoring through an I2C interface. For each transmitter channel, output optical power, modulation current, and bias current are monitored. Other operating conditions such as power supply and operating temperature are also monitored. If a parameter monitored is outside the pre-defined range, the alarm flag associated with the parameter will be raised.
The GO2922 complies to all the relevant standards, such as FCC, IEC and UL. It is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
