The GO2920 is a dual channel optical receiver module designed to receive optical serial digital signals and convert the optical signals to electrical serial digital signals as defined in SMPTE 297-2006. The GO2920 supports data rates from 50Mb/s to 3Gb/s and is specifically designed for robust performance in the presence of SDI pathological patterns for SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 344M, SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 424M serial rates. The module is fully compliant with SMPTE 297-2006.
The GO2920 contains two independent PIN photodiode optical receivers. Each receiver is designed to provide error-free reception of signals from 50Mb/s to 3Gb/s with up to 30km of standard SMF when using the GO2922 as the transmitter. The GO2920 is hot pluggable with a typical power consumption of 470mW using a single power supply of +3.3V.
The GO2920 provides extensive operational status monitoring through an I2C interface. For each receiver channel, input optical power is monitored. Other operating conditions such as power supply and operating temperature are also monitored. If a parameter monitored is outside the pre-defined range, the alarm flag associated with the parameter will be raised.
The GO2920 complies to all the relevant standards, such as FCC, IEC and UL. It is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
