The GO2910 is a single-channel optical receiver module designed to receive optical serial digital signals and convert the optical signals to electrical serial digital signals as defined in SMPTE 297-2006. The GO2910 supports data rates from 50Mb/s to 3Gb/s and is specifically designed for robust performance in the presence of SDI pathological patterns for SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 344M, SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 424M serial rates. The module is fully compliant with SMPTE 297-2006.
The GO2910 contains a PIN photodiode optical receiver designed to provide error-free reception of signals from 50Mb/s to 3Gb/s with up to 30km of SMF fiber (9/125) at wavelengths between 1260nm and 1620nm. The GO2910 is hot pluggable.
The GO2910 provides extensive operational status monitoring through an I2C interface. Within the receiver, input optical power is monitored. Other operating conditions such as power supply and operating temperature are also monitored. If a parameter monitored is outside the pre-defined range, the alarm flag associated with the parameter will be raised.
The GO2910 is pinout compatible with other Gennum SFP 3G-SDI optical modules, and is drop-in compatible with GO2920 and GO2921.
The GO2910 complies to all the relevant standards, such as FCC, IEC and UL. It is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
