Dr. Franz J. Fink
President & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Franz Fink was appointed to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Gennum Corporation, effective September 12, 2006. He is also a member of the company's Board of Directors.

Dr. Fink was previously Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Freescale Semiconductor's Wireless and Mobile Systems Group. From 2001 to 2003 he served as Vice-President and General Manager of the 32-bit Embedded Microprocessor Division in Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector. From 1999 to 2001 Franz served as Operations Director of the Powertrain Systems Operation within the Advanced Vehicle Systems Division. Prior to that he held management positions in the areas of design and operations. He has spent approximately 15 years in the United States and Europe with Freescale Semiconductor and Motorola.

Dr. Fink earned a Master's degree in Computer Science and Electronics from the Technical University of Munich, and later graduated summa cum laude with a Doctorate from the Department of Computer-Aided Design.
