As General Counsel for Gennum, Chad Hutchison manages all of the company's legal and regulatory matters. His 13 year legal career spans all aspects of corporate law including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance practices and general securities law. An experienced legal executive, Hutchison provides legal and regulatory guidance to Gennum as it continues its global expansion through acquisitions, partnerships and licensing agreements.

Prior to Gennum, Hutchison was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Stelco Inc. (now U. S. Steel Canada Inc.), a large Canadian steel producer. At Stelco, Hutchison oversaw all legal matters, providing strategic legal advice to its Board of Directors and management on a broad range of matters, including the sale of the company to United States Steel Corporation.

Prior to Stelco, Hutchison was a partner at Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, engaged in corporate and securities law practice. He advised clients on significant corporate finance and mergers and acquisition transactions, as well as on general corporate, securities law and public company matters.

Hutchison holds a bachelor's degree in science from the University of Western Ontario and an LLB degree from the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University (Toronto, Ontario).
